Reporting of Results
All match results, including details of scheduled matches postponed or unfinished, should be notified by e-mail to the Website Administrator by the Home County by 12 noon of the day following the conclusion of a match.
After 1 written warning a 2 point penalty as per Rule 9.2 will be applied for each repeated offence.The required information is:
- Team names;
- Toss winner;
- Team batting first;
- Runs scored;
- Wickets lost;
- Overs received;
- Result of match;
- Points scored;
- Individual performances (limited to 50 runs or more, 3 or more wickets; 3 catches; 3 stumpings; hat tricks and other items of note.
- Number of Underage Players
The Home County is also responsible for updating the Play-Cricket website with full scorecard details within 72 hours of the completion of the match. Failure to do will as per Rule 9.2 will result in a 2 point penalty.

Points are awarded as follows: Winning Team: 20 points and no Bonus Points. Losing Team: Bonus Points only (Max 10)
Bowling bonus points: 1 point for 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 wickets taken (maximum of 5)
Batting bonus points: 1 point at 125, 150, 175, 200 and 225 runs (maximum of 5)
Tied Match: 5 points each plus bonus points. Abandoned and Cancelled Matches No points
Underage Players: Please state if any 59 or 69 year olds played in the match.
For 70+ : A maximum of two 69 year olds are allowed to play.
For 60+ : One 59 year old is allowed to play.
In 70+ matches where 40 overs was agreed at the outset batting bonus points are awarded at 100, 125. 150, 175 and 200 (Maximum of 5)
NB: If a team is all out but loses fewer than 10 wickets owing to injury or absence, please enter “AO” on the line below Wickets
Play Cricket now automatically calculates all bonus points though in 70+ 40 overs matches adjustments are required
The completed form should be e-mailed by 12 noon the day after the match to Derrick Sheldon at [email protected] The scorecard must be completed on Play Cricket by the Home Team within 72 hours of the match completing. A 2 point penalty will apply if either deadline is breached
The Team Sheet as per Playing Rules 5.8 (see below) can be downloaded via this link “Team Sheet” 5.8 Prior to the commencement of play, the team Captains must exchange team sheets detailing the names of their team selection and signed by the Captain verifying that the team selected satisfies the criteria in Rule 4 and Rule 5. The team sheets shall be then be given to the umpires for their record. A team sheet will be made available to download from the website.
